“It’s so lovely to see you,” Betsy replied as the women embraced and exchanged the pleasant greetings of old friends who hadn’t seen each other in far too long.
Feliica complimented her purple hair, and in return, thanked her and then added, “You look amazing!”, as they headed to the table that Felicia had secured for the two of them.
Bee was looking forward to reconnecting with Felicia. It was one thing to video chat with a person, and something completely different - so much better, in fact - to be out in the world with that person, having adventures.
Today’s adventure was lunch. Maybe shopping later.
Betsy was used to adventures with much bigger stakes and loads more action, but today was one of those lovely days where she wasn’t required to save the world, and she could explore the city as if she were just another, everyday person.
She thought Felicia was one of those everyday kind of people; likewise, Felicia didn’t know about Betsy’s former career as a psionic spy, nor that she is a recent addition to the X-Men’s roster.
They had a lot of catching up to do - though it remained to be seen how much each woman would reveal to the other…
“So! Tell me! How have you been?” Bee asked Felicia, while her eyes flicked over the lunch menu.
